I've been making music now since about 1995 - it started when my big brother showed me ProTracker on the Amiga. A few years later I got hold of OctaMED. This had the advantage over most other music programs that you could use more than 4 audio tracks in parallel. There would have been other programs with this feature, but in the end I remained faithful to OctaMED for a long time, which was later developed further under the name MED SoundStudio by RBF Software.
After the development of MED SoundStudio was discontinued, I switched to MadTracker. Its development has been finished as well. However, the support was not officially discontinued - there are plugins, you can still buy it, and there is a community with which you can interact if necessary.
For mastering and additional fine tuning of each audio track I use WavePad by NCH Software. Although there are certainly countless alternatives, I am quite pleased with WavePad. Especially the subtractive noise filter is the best I know so far in terms of quality.
Since the quality of the old ProTracker module files is really bad from today's point of view, I provide only a few of my old music pieces here in MP3 format with improved quality. The sound quality of my music pieces increased rapidly when I switched to the software I use now.

Deep Ocean
My track Deep Ocean was chosen as song of the day on mp3.de on 11.11.2001, whereupon it stormed the entire chart list of mp3.de and conquered position 1, on which Deep Ocean remained for about two weeks, although several other songs of the day were chosen during that time. Even if it doesn't mean much, I'm still a bit proud of it. ;-) It's just a pity that mp3.de is no longer a portal for freelance musicians.
Hello GEMA!
To directly address the "GEMA assumption": Fortunately, I am not being represented by GEMA!
Since they once tried to take money from me for the publication of my own music on the Internet, it is also clear to me that they will never represent me. So you don't have to be afraid of GEMA when using my music. Nevertheless, should they try something like this again, then please contact me - I'll take care of it.
